Did you know that manufacturers are moving away from single speed pumps and switching to variable speed? Single speed pumps will eventually be obsolete as well as the parts. Variable speed pumps are more energy efficient and a lot quieter. You can program the pump to run at a lower RPM in the morning for a couple hours, run at a high RPM when it is the warmest out and the pool has the most exposure to sunlight for 4-6 hours and drop back down to a lower RPM in the evening. During the winter, you can have it running at lower RPMs.
